Verde Salon New Jersey 
After a decade in the hair and beauty industry, Kevin Gatto opened his upscale and eco-friendly boutique salon in chic Collingswood, New Jersey in 2007. A renowned stylist, in demand for TV and editorial, Kevin used his knowledge and skills to build Verde into one of New Jersey’s premier salons. Kevin decided to attend ARROJO Expo in October of 2015 and, taking part in the business symposium, was inspired by Nick Arrojo’s discussion on the business and the craft. So much so that he soon became an ARROJO Ambassador Salon. With the ARROJO Product Line now flying off the Verde shelves, we caught up with Kevin to see what’s up. . .  
How many stylists do you currently employ? 
I’m happy to say we’re a growing team. We have fourteen stylists, two associates, and two client coordinators who run the front desk. We’ve been in business 8.5 years and I’m proud of the team we’ve built. 
What has been your greatest achievement within your business? 
We have won numerous Best of's (Blowout, Mani/Pedi, Bridal, Holistic Salon, etc.) but for me personally it was being featured in American Salon Magazine. I look at American Salon as my bible in the industry and it was always a dream to be featured in it so seeing a story about us in it was a career highlight. 
Overall though it's been amazing to see not only our growth as a company, but seeing my team grow personally and professionally.
As we close in our 10 year anniversary in 2017, I am looking forward to expanding my salon into a bigger location as well as opening others in the Philadelphia and Jersey Shore markets. We are in the planning stages now for several projects.  Becoming an ARROJO Ambassador Salon has been and will continue to be a big part of our success as a company.
What has been your most exciting time as an ARROJO Ambassador Salon?
My introduction to the ARROJO culture was in October 2015 at the Business Success Symposium at Expo. I went in not knowing what to expect, and was blown away by how Nick brought us together not to sell us product, but to inspire us to be better versions of ourselves. Being able to network with like minded salon professionals who want to see others grow is unique in this industry.  Nearly six months later, I am still moved and inspired by the talks given by Josh McMitchen, Jessica Walter, and Derek Maldonado. They energized me as an owner and inspired me to believe that maybe someday I too will be on that stage with Nick!
We as a salon team have attended a few Happy Mondays, and the Expose in Philadelphia. Each time we are left inspired and motivated for more success. I am looking forward to attending technical classes this year with my team and spending more time in NYC for other ARROJO events.
One of the most exciting moments for us was when Nick surprised us and stopped in the salon to meet the team. It was a busy Thursday evening and the clients and my stylists were beyond excited to see Nick just pop in. A local blog even commented on the major TV celebrity walking around town!  To me that really speaks volumes on Nick's character, he loves meeting everyone, and making them feel a part of the ARROJO community. He could have chosen a bigger salon in the area to be an Ambassador salon, but knowing he genuinely appreciated our talent and culture as a salon gave us a sense of pride I had not felt in a long time. 
What else would you like to say?! 
Our journey with Nick and the ARROJO team has only just begun. In the short time we have been an Ambassador Salon we have seen a significant increase in our retail sales and overall shift in morale. We absolutely love being a part of the ARROJO family, and are excited about the future. I cannot say enough good things about how great it has been working with Nick and his right hand man, Gordon Nelson. They are both committed to not only our success with the ARROJO brand but as a business. Their insights are invaluable to me as I take my salon to the next level.
