One Salon
Owned by Janine Exline, Salon One in Novi, Michigan, is renowned throughout the community as a large upscale salon with an inviting atmosphere and a commitment to achieving modern creative hairdressing through education and inspiration. An ARROJO Ambassador, a visit from Nick Arrojo and Amanda Jenkins introduced the team to our signature hairdressing trends, techniques, and products. We caught up with Janine to see how Salon One is set for continued success in 2016. . .
1. How many stylists do you currently employ?
One Salon employs 43 full and part time stylists, so we are quite a large salon, but we keep the atmosphere friendly and fun. I believe that, as hairdressers, we achieve excellence by understanding the needs of the client and combining that with artistic expression, in order to provide an extraordinary salon experience.
2. How many years have you been in business?
One Salon has been in business 6 1/2 years.
3. What has been your greatest achievement within your business?
The greatest achievement has been establishing our brand in the marketplace as one synonymous with not only professional quality hair care, but also a level of excellence in customer service and care that make our clients feel relaxed and part of our culture. We have been able to maintain that over the past 4 years as we have grown exponentially. We have been able to handle all the challenges that success has brought us without losing sight of what got us here.
4. What has been your most exciting time as an ARROJO Ambassador Salon?
Without a doubt it was having Nick and Amanda at the salon. The product knowledge, razor cutting demonstration, and American Wave class were all phenomenal, but Nick sharing is wisdom and his story of success was very empowering for the staff as well. All of us were motivated, inspired and ready to make things happen. We've had some great educators and speakers at the salon before, but I have never seen the staff as excited as they were after Nick and Amanda's visit. And it's already showing in the retail sales. The staff love the products, and so do the clients.
5. What else contributes to your success?
If you want success, you have to have unwavering commitment to propel the salon, and the people in it, to do great things. As a team we have weathered a lot of challenges and become stronger for it.
